Upper Timing Cover – GM (12728225)

Upper Timing Cover is a formed or cast component that surrounds or supports part of the powertrain. Corrosion and cracking at mounting points are the usual reasons for replacement.

Replace the Timing Cover when you find a crack that weeps under pressure, or when the mounting ears have failed. Welding a casting rarely restores the original alignment.

This Timing Cover is listed under part number 12728225, filed under Camshafts & Timing. If the original number is unreadable, send us the VIN and we will confirm the reference before dispatch.

The stock here is genuine GM, and this Timing Cover keeps the original engineering number, which matters once a number has been superseded more than once.

The listing covers the upper position of the assembly.
