Electrical & Ignition

Electrical and ignition parts are what the engine management system uses to see and to fire: sensors and switches, wiring and connector pigtails, spark plugs and ignition coils, and the starters and alternators that crank and charge.

Buying guide: Electrical & Ignition

Almost every drivability complaint starts as a signal problem. A crank position sensor that drops out when hot produces a stall that never stores a code; a coil that breaks down under load misfires only at wide-open throttle; a corroded pigtail adds resistance that shifts every reading on the circuit. Because the harness is often older than the sensor, replacing a connector together with its component prevents the second failure.

Plugs and coils are heat-range and resistance specific. Our listings state the plug type, the gap where it is preset, and the coil position on engines that use one per cylinder, so you can replace a single unit without disturbing the rest of the ignition system.
