Transfer Case Chain – Mopar (68449229aa)

Transfer Case Chain is part of the drive path between two shafts. Gears are lapped as a pair at the factory, which is why mixing a new gear with a worn mate usually produces noise.

Replace the Transfer Case Chain when backlash or tooth pattern is out of specification, or when the fluid carries metallic paste. Setting the pattern correctly on assembly matters as much as the part.

Reference number for the Transfer Case Chain: 68449229aa. It is filed under Transfer Cases, and it is the number that has to match the part coming off the vehicle.

This is genuine MOPAR stock, supplied for the Transfer Case Chain with the manufacturer number intact so the reference on the box matches the catalogue.
