Cv Axle Assembly – GM (60005208)

Cv Axle Assembly carries torque between components that move relative to each other. Compressed length, spline count and joint type decide whether it installs and stays quiet in service.

Replace the Cv Axle when a joint clicks on turns, when a vibration appears in a narrow speed band, or when a boot has split and thrown grease. A shaft that has already clicked is past the point where a boot kit helps.

Ordering reference for the Cv Axle is part number 60005208, categorised under CV Axles & Joints. Match that number against the component you are removing before you order.

This is GM dealer-sourced stock rather than an equivalent, so the number on the Cv Axle traces straight back to the manufacturer.

This is sold as an assembly; if only one component has failed, confirm whether the single part is available separately.
