Shifter Assembly – GM (85123748)

Shifter Assembly transmits driver input to the transmission or transfer case. Free play and adjustment range are set by the linkage geometry, not by the cable alone.

Replace the Shifter when the lever has excessive free play, when the cable binds in cold weather, or when a clip has broken. A cable that has frayed internally is not repairable.

The Shifter in this listing carries part number 85123748 and sits in the Shift Components category. The number stamped on the original part is the only reliable cross-reference.

Genuine GM part for the Shifter. Where the manufacturer has superseded a number, the current reference is the one that ships.

Supplied as an assembly rather than as an individual component, so check that you need the whole item before ordering.
