Piston Rings – GM (12725754)

Piston Rings contains combustion in the cylinder bore and transfers force to the connecting rod. It is matched by bore diameter and ring groove width rather than by model year alone.

Replace the Piston Rings when compression is low on one cylinder, when oil consumption climbs without an external leak, or when a teardown shows scoring in the bore. Measure the bore before ordering: standard size will not seal a cylinder that needs honing.

For this Piston Rings the reference is 12725754, in our Pistons, Rings & Cylinders range. Compare it with the number on the part you are replacing rather than with a photograph.

The stock here is genuine GM, and this Piston Rings keeps the original engineering number, which matters once a number has been superseded more than once.
