Piston Ring Set – Volvo (32240863)

Piston Ring Set contains combustion in the cylinder bore and transfers force to the connecting rod. It is matched by bore diameter and ring groove width rather than by model year alone.

Replace the Piston Ring Set when compression is low on one cylinder, when oil consumption climbs without an external leak, or when a teardown shows scoring in the bore. Measure the bore before ordering: standard size will not seal a cylinder that needs honing.

Ordering reference for the Piston Ring Set is part number 32240863, categorised under Pistons, Rings & Cylinders. Match that number against the component you are removing before you order.

This is VOLVO dealer-sourced stock rather than an equivalent, so the number on the Piston Ring Set traces straight back to the manufacturer.

This is sold as an set; if only one component has failed, confirm whether the single part is available separately.
