Intake Manifold routes filtered air from the throttle body to the intake ports. It carries no exhaust gas, so corrosion and heat damage are not the usual failure modes here; leaking flange gaskets and cracked plastic plenums are.

Replace the Intake Manifold when unmetered air is entering past the gasket, when the vacuum ports will not seal, or when the original has cracked from heat cycling. Pressure-test the intake after fitting.
