Fuel Pump – GM (85843540)

Fuel Pump supplies fuel at the volume and pressure the engine management expects. A pump that is weak rather than dead produces intermittent symptoms that are easy to misdiagnose.

Replace the Fuel Pump when the engine loses power under sustained load or when the pump draws more current than specification. A pump that is failing electrically often works again once it cools.
