Fuel Pump – GM (85543523)

Fuel Pump supplies fuel at the volume and pressure the engine management expects. A pump that is weak rather than dead produces intermittent symptoms that are easy to misdiagnose.

Replace the Fuel Pump when the engine loses power under sustained load or when the pump draws more current than specification. A pump that is failing electrically often works again once it cools.

Reference number for the Fuel Pump: 85543523. It is filed under Fuel Pumps & Senders, and it is the number that has to match the part coming off the vehicle.

The stock here is genuine GM, and this Fuel Pump keeps the original engineering number, which matters once a number has been superseded more than once.
