Engine Water Pump – ACDelco (252-669)

Engine Water Pump maintains flow or pressure in a closed circuit. Restrictions elsewhere in the circuit produce the same symptoms as a worn pump, so both have to be checked.

Replace the Engine Water Pump when a pressure gauge shows a drop under load, or when the pump has been run dry. Running dry scores the internals beyond recovery.

Reference number for the Engine Water Pump: 252-669. It is filed under Water Pumps, and it is the number that has to match the part coming off the vehicle.

This is ACDELCO dealer-sourced stock rather than an equivalent, so the number on the Engine Water Pump traces straight back to the manufacturer.
