Engine Cover – GM (12597609)

Engine Cover is a containment or structural component matched to a specific casting and bolt pattern. Parts that look interchangeable often differ in offset or internal volume.

Replace the Engine Cover when the casting is cracked at a mounting point, when a mating flange is no longer flat, or when the original has corroded through. Check the surface it seals against before fitting a replacement.

For this Engine Cover the reference is 12597609, in our Engine Mounts & Covers range. Compare it with the number on the part you are replacing rather than with a photograph.

This is GM dealer-sourced stock rather than an equivalent, so the number on the Engine Cover traces straight back to the manufacturer.
