Engine Compartment Front Sight Shield – GM (23256455)

Engine Compartment Front Sight Shield is a formed or cast component that surrounds or supports part of the powertrain. Corrosion and cracking at mounting points are the usual reasons for replacement.

Replace the Compartment Sight Shield when you find a crack that weeps under pressure, or when the mounting ears have failed. Welding a casting rarely restores the original alignment.

This Compartment Sight Shield is listed under part number 23256455, filed under Complete Engines. If the original number is unreadable, send us the VIN and we will confirm the reference before dispatch.

The stock here is genuine GM, and this Compartment Sight Shield keeps the original engineering number, which matters once a number has been superseded more than once.

The listing covers the front position of the assembly.
