A head that has dropped a valve seat, a worn guide that burns oil on start-up, or a collapsed lifter that ticks in time with the cam all live here.
Heads are handed, and the left and right castings are rarely the same. They are also specific to the engine code and, on later engines, to the port and combustion chamber design used in that build. Valve train components follow the same rule: a lifter is matched to the camshaft lobe profile, and fitting a flat-tappet lifter to a roller cam destroys both.
Our listings state the side, the engine code and whether the head is bare or assembled. If you are replacing a head after an overheating event, plan on new head bolts, a fresh multi-layer gasket and a pressure test of the old casting before you decide it is unserviceable.
